84% adopt Chinese standard from catching up to leading
The project of Chinese standard rolling stock started in 2012, under the leadership of China Railway Corporation (now China National Railway Group Co., Ltd.), China Academy of Railway Sciences, China CNR, Southwest Jiaotong University and other industry, academia and research units, gathered the strengths to jointly carry out the development of Chinese standard rolling stock.
The project team started to develop Chinese standard rolling stock with fully independent intellectual property rights and a speed of 350 km per hour in accordance with the positive design concept and the goal of autonomy, interconnection and interchangeability and advanced technology. In the past ten years, more than 60 scientific research units and enterprises have signed strategic cooperation agreements, and more than 70 academicians, nearly 1,000 professors and 20,000 engineers and technicians have participated in it.
Technical breakthrough is the key to manufacturing high-end rail transportation equipment with completely independent intellectual property rights. It took the R&D team 5 years, 503 simulation calculations, 5278 ground tests and 2362 line tests to realize the Chinese standard rolling stock from initiation of R&D to finalization. Among the 254 important standards adopted by the Chinese standard rolling stock, Chinese standards account for 84%, and 96 major equipment items of 11 systems adopt unified Chinese standards and models.
In June 2015, the prototype of Chinese standard rolling stock was launched, and in July 2016, two trains of Chinese standard rolling stock conducted a 420 km/h rendezvous test on the Zheng-Xu passenger special line, completing the world's first high-speed train rendezvous test on the actual running track. "In September of the same year, the "Fuxing No." achieved commercial operation at 350 km/h on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, setting a new benchmark for the commercial operation of high-speed railroads in the world.
